Since 1976, L'Occitane en Provence has been imagining, producing and selling beauty, skincare and well-being products with an intention to share nature's wonders with the world. Our ambition is to not only sustain lands, but to regenerate ecosystems. We believe beauty goes beyond what the eye can see. From seed to skin, we are holistic in our approach.

At L'Occitane en Provence, we've always been Cultivators of Change. This mindset is nothing new. We do our best to create positive change for the world, and we always try to inspire everyone around us to do the same.

  • plastic odyssey main partner

After two years of preparation, Plastic Odyssey set sail from Marseille in autumn 2022 for a three-year world tour.

Its mission is to fight marine pollution at its source by raising awareness of plastic pollution and training future recyclers in low-tech, low-energy practices.

Ultimately, it aims to promote a waste-based economic model led by local entrepreneurs.

  • Promote women empowerment

The story of L’Occitane en Provence and the women shea butter producers of Burkina Faso began in the 1980s. Since then, we have built a sustainable and fair partnership together.

Since 2009, we have been proud to have a 100% fair trade shea butter supply chain (Fair Trade certification compliant with the Fair for Life standard, available at www.fairforlife.org).

  • Fight against preventable blindness

At L’Occitane en Provence, we create “sensorial” products that delight the senses, but one sense is especially close to our hearts: sight.

From adding Braille to our packaging, to selling solidarity products and supporting NGOs, we are committed to helping blind and visually impaired people, preventing avoidable blindness, and providing access to eye care for more people around the world.
