Are dispenser and refill packagings sustainable?
Yes. Sustainability is at the heart of our dispenser and refill packaging approach. Our Aromachologie, Verbena and Citrus Verbena dispenser bottles are made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic, while our White Lavender and Jasmine & Bergamot dispenser bottles contain 30% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable. Our lightweight Eco-Refill bottles are also made from 100% recyclable plastic and are fully recyclable. Designed to reduce packaging impact while maintaining the quality and premium experience of L'Occitane en Provence, this innovative packaging was recognized with a PCD Innovation Award when it launched in 2024.
Are the formulas natural?
Yes, our dispensers formulas are developed according to a strict clean charter, with a strong focus on naturality and environmental responsibility. Each formula contains at least 85% ingredients of natural origin.
Is L'Occitane en Provence testing products on Animals
No, L'Occitane states that it does not use animals to test its products, ingredients or raw materials during their development or manufacture. This anti-animal testing stance dates back to the brand's beginnings in the 1970s and is part of its philosophy of respect for animals and the environment. The brand asks all its suppliers to adhere to this same requirement: no animal testing on raw materials is allowed.
Is L'Occitane en Provence organic?
L'Occitane en Provence is not a certified organic brand, but it uses a large number of natural ingredients, among which more than 200 botanical ingredients are selected for their naturalness, effectiveness and traceability. Some ingredients such as lavender or verbena are organic, but this is not enough to be certified.
